The Mitchell College of Business at the University of South Alabama is proud to introduce three new undergraduate majors: professional sales, entrepreneurship and real estate. Building on growing industry demand, all three programs have transitioned from concentrations within existing majors to full standalone degree programs. Students will be able to enroll in the three new degree plans beginning in the Fall 2025 semester.

These additions join the College’s established lineup of accounting, economics and finance, general business, international business, management, marketing and supply chain and logistics management, which continue to strengthen opportunities for graduates to be prepared for the workforce upon graduation.

The entrepreneurship degree plan is designed to foster creativity, innovation, resilience, and problem-solving while equipping students with the knowledge necessary to thrive in a variety of business environments. The real estate major is designed to educate students about the myriad aspects of the real estate industry and to provide a solid foundation for taking advantage of numerous career opportunities available in real estate and related industries. The professional sales program will prepare students with the skills and techniques needed to build relationships, understand customer needs, and close deals effectively in various industries and business environments.

With the launch of these three new majors, the Mitchell College is continuing to respond to the evolving needs of the economy and the business landscape. The new degree programs will equip students with relevant, in-demand skills and will open doors to diverse career opportunities. These programs further the Mitchell College's mission to produce innovative, future business leaders while advancing the economic well-being of the Gulf Coast region.
