Mitchell College of Business Welcomes Doug Blanchard, Jr.

The Mitchell College of Business welcomes Doug Blanchard, Jr., as a visiting instructor in the Department of Marketing, Supply Chain Management and Analytics.
Blanchard is a graduate of Jackson State University with a Bachelor of Science in biology. He earned a Master of Science in Finance and a Master of Business Administration from Tulane University and is completing his PhD in Business Analytics at the University of South Alabama.
Blanchard is a United States Army veteran, where he was a commissioned officer and pilot. This was followed by a two-decade career in industry, during which he served in executive roles at several international companies, gaining experience in business development, sales, and operations across diverse industries, including aerospace, energy, and healthcare. Since 2018, Blanchard has shifted his focus to academia, holding the position of Assistant Dean at Tulane University's A.B. Freeman School of Business.
Now, as a visiting instructor, Blanchard will utilize his extensive industry experience to help develop the Mitchell College’s professional sales program. His industry relationships and real-world business acumen will be a valuable asset to students as he helps prepare the next generation of business leaders for success.
