Hello, everyone! My name is Sloan Bryant, and I am a senior finance major.

Growing up in Fairhope, Alabama, I always knew the University of South Alabama would be a beneficial place to continue my education. Attending South would give me the college experience while remaining close to my family.

Following my first two years at the Mitchell College of Business–during which I took all of my general business courses and had many insightful conversations with professors and advisors– I felt confident about declaring finance as my major.

I am currently interning at Charles Schwab and have already used many skills that I learned in my finance curriculum at the Mitchell College of Business. I have been selected to participate in undergraduate research and am currently at work creating a presentation for the annual SOBIE conference in April; conducting student research is an opportunity I would not have taken advantage of without the incredible influence of my professors.

When not at the MCOB, I spend my time serving as the Treasurer of Kappa Delta sorority, a Greek organization here at South. I am grateful to be involved in an organization that empowers me to serve my community, gain real-world experience in my field of study, and has given me a group of girls that will support me through anything.

My college experience over the last four years has been beneficial to my personal and professional life. The connections I have made within the community– both here in Mobile and in Baldwin County– have undoubtedly prepared me for a lifetime of success after graduation. Through the Mitchell College of Business I have gained lifelong friends, mentors, and a valuable education.
