Mission Statement

The Jag Student Support Network (JSSN) is an ongoing effort to identify, empower, and support students on campus that are interested in becoming advocates for improving awareness of both mental health issues and available resources. The core purposes of JSSN are to increase the number of student advocates who are able to recognize and refer peers to appropriate professional resources and to empower student advocates to generate awareness on a larger scale via advocacy programming.

Students that are selected to join JSSN are trained on how to spot warning signs of mental distress, provide active listening, and refer peers to available resources.
