The University fosters a research environment. Scientific misconduct includes fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, or other practices not commonly accepted in the course of conducting or reporting research.

Allegations of scientific misconduct should be made in writing to the Department Chair or the Dean of the College. An inquiry into the facts will be conducted and appropriate action taken. Employee misconduct associated with research activities will result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
