Research Services Virtual Orientation Fall 2025
Learn about the wide range of support services available to you in these short virtual sessions led by staff from the Office of Research & Economic Development. Intended for both new and current faculty, these quick 30-minute sessions are designed to help you navigate the research landscape, from securing funding to managing your projects to ensuring compliance.
All nine sessions will be held on Zoom and each session will be repeated at a different weekday and time. Sessions will NOT be recorded. Session descriptions and registration links are provided in the table below, organized by date. Note that registration is required. Research Compliance Services
Explore research compliance support services that facilitate regulated and non-regulated
research, including quality assurance, training requirements, and educational outreach.

Navigating IRB, IACUC and IBC Project Submissions
Learn when and why approval is needed from each committee, what to expect during the
application process, and available resources for navigating IRB, IACUC, and IBC proposals
via IRBNet. Please join us and bring your questions about research involving human
subjects, animals, or biological hazards.

An overview of the contract negotiation process and intellectual property, including
material transfer and non-disclosure agreements.
