To be considered for membership in Mortar Board, you must be a junior and
- have completed 12 semester hours at USA
- have at least a cumulative GPA of 3.25
- not be graduating before December
Unlike most honor societies, Mortar Board members commit to active participation in regular meetings, projects, and activities throughout the year. Membership fees are $85.00, payable prior to initiation. (Financial assistance may be available in special cases.)
Complete an Information Form online. In addition to requesting information on your collegiate activities, the application asks you to elaborate on an experience that illustrates your leadership abilities (250 words or more). To view the entire application, click here.
