Grant Skinner Hometown: Smyrna, Tennessee Bio: Grant is studying Broadcast Meteorology and a minor in Music. Having not previously marched before college, he learned marching and began his career with the Jaguar Marching Band in his freshman year. He was selected to be a mellophone section leader in his sophomore year and was selected later that year as Head Drum Major. He has also been involved in the USA Wind Ensemble, USA Symphony Band, and the USA Symphony Orchestra throughout his academic career. In addition to the JMB, he is also involved in the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, Student Leaders United, and the Meteorology Club. He enjoys spending time with friends as well as watching and playing various sports. |

Cecelia Prentiss Hometown: Biloxi, Mississippi Bio: Cecelia is beginning her first year of South’s Master of Occupational Therapy program. This past May I graduated from South with my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a minor in Spanish. This will be my 5th year in the JMB and my 2nd year as Assistant Drum Major. I am a piccolo player and served as section leader for one year as well. Outside of band, I enjoy teaching swimming lessons over the summer and spending time with friends and family. I am excited to spend one final year with the JMB and can’t wait to see everyone in the stands this season! |

Nathan Shadix Hometown: Prattville, AL Bio: Nathan Shadix is a 2016 graduate of the University of South Alabama where he earned a Bachelor’s in Music Education. After completing his degree, he spent the next four years teaching elementary, middle, and high school music at Bayside Academy. Nathan is excited to return to his alma mater as a graduate assistant and to be working with the Jaguar Marching Band. |

Destiny Miskel Hometown: Bay Minette, AL Bio: Destiny is a senior Music Education major. This will be my fourth year in the JMB. I served as trombone section leader last year, and this will be my first year as a student assistant. I spend most of my time involved in the music department, where I play in several ensembles and serve as Vice President of Ritual for our chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota.

Outside of the JMB you can catch me reading, cooking/baking, or working at the Mobile Symphony. I’m also a brother of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia and collegiate mentor for Mobile Symphony Youth Orchestra. Sarah Wilson Hometown: Daphne, AL Bio: I am a senior Music Education major and this will be my fourth year in the JMB. I have performed in many other ensembles as well, including Clarinet Choir, the USA Wind Ensemble, the USA Symphony Orchestra, and a handful of other woodwind ensembles. Outside of band I spend my time catching up on my favorite shows or walking around our local parks. Besides being a section leader, I also have the privilege of serving as the President of the Zeta Gamma chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota. |

Outside of South, I work full-time at Chick-fil-A, as well as gigging and performing in the Baldwin and Mobile area. I enjoy studying macrobiology and conservation, playing tennis, longboarding, and cooking. |
