Bio: Alex is a senior Biology major with a Pre-Veterinary focus and a minor in Music. She plans to attend Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine after she graduates from USA. According to Alex, her favorite things are dogs, music, family, friends, and more dogs!

Bio: Jonah is a Junior Criminal Justice major with a minor in Political Science. He was named the first Assistant Drum Major in JMB history! Outside of the JMB, Jonah enjoys being in the outdoors, playing sports, and hanging with friends.

Bio: I will be starting as a Graduate Trumpet Performance Major who is entering his first year with the JMB. I graduated from Mary G. Montgomery High School and obtained my Bachelor’s in Music Education from William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS.

   
Jessica Mandel

Hometown: Aurora, IL

Bio: I am a first year masters student majoring in Music Performance, and this is her first year as a graduate assistant with the JMB. My undergraduate degrees are in Music Education and Oboe Performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Outside of the JMB, Jessica is also a private oboe teacher along the Mississippi and Alabama Gulf Coast, the alumni advisor for the Zeta Gamma chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota Music Fraternity, and serves as principal oboe in the Alabama Winds.

Bio: I am working on my M.M. in Music Performance. I graduated from the University of South Alabama with my B.M. in Music Education. This will be my sixth year in the JMB, and my second serving as a Graduate Assistant. Apart from the JMB, I teach private flute lessons, play in a Celtic flute group, and sub with the Mobile Symphony Orchestra. I have always loved the enthusiastic environment of the JMB and I cannot wait for another amazing season. Go Jags!

Bio: I am a senior music education student. This will be my fourth and final year in the JMB. I have served as a mellophone section leader for two years before being selected as a Student Assistant Conductor. I am also the President of the Zeta Gamma chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota.

Bio: I'm currently a junior studying music education. I play in several different groups including Tuba/Euphonium ensemble, Brass ensemble, and Wind ensemble. I've had the privilege of serving  as first chair in the latter, and am excited to serve as student assistant conductor this year in the JMB. Go jags!

Bio: I am in my fourth year as a Music Education Major. I have marched with the Jaguar Drumline since 2016. Outside of school, I teach private lessons and perform with several bands all over the South.

Bio: I am an Exercise Science Major with a Spanish Minor, and this will be my third year in the JMB. This past summer I spent 6 weeks studying in Madrid in order to complete my minor in Spanish. I’m looking forward to this season!
