Fall 2020 Retirement Celebration
Posted on December 16, 2020 by Keith Lynn
At the end of fall 2020, we gathered virtually as a department to celebrate the retirement of Ms. Dawn Mckinney.
Ms. Mckinney was with the School of Computing for 24 years, first as a Master’s Degree student and then went on to become a Senior Instructor in our Computer Science Department. Ms. McKinney’s enthusiasm for learning was evident in all that she participated in. Anyone who took any of her classes not only learned concepts and skills but also gained a thirst for knowledge. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Mckinney served as the CS program curriculum chair and assessment lead. She was also very active in service activities and was the co-founder and co-director of the USA Center for Academic Service-Learning and Civic Engagement.
