APTV's "Spotlight on Education" features SoC HOLLA

Alabama Public Television’s show “Spotlight on Education” aired on April 19, 2018
and one of the segments of the program featured a HOLLA presented by the School of
Computing. A HOLLA is a Hands-On Learning Laboratory Activity, and the School of Computing
through CFITS has been presenting HOLLAs to partner schools since 2012, and they have been well
received by both the students and the schools.
APTV has made this program available online. The segment that features the HOLLA is
at about the 33:30 mark in the video.
The HOLLA that was filmed featured Object Oriented Programming using Scratch the Cat
and took place on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 with the 3rd grade class from St. Paul’s
Episcopal School.
