Message from the Vice President for Finance and Administration

I am pleased to present this annual financial report for the University of South Alabama for the year ended September 30, 2019. I am confident that the accompanying financial statements fairly present the financial position and results of operations of the University, including its health system. It is the responsibility of University management to ensure that these financial statements, including management’s discussion and analysis and the accompanying notes to the financial statements, are complete and fairly presented in accordance with U. S. generally accepted accounting principles.

The management of the University of South Alabama is responsible for the integrity and objectivity of the financial information presented in these statements. We believe that the University’s system of internal accounting controls provides reasonable assurance that assets are protected and that all transactions and events are properly recorded. The Board of Trustees of the University, through the Audit Committee, monitors the financial and accounting operations of the University.
