South Alabama Student Presents Research at the Joint Mathematics Meetings

Undergraduate student Morgan Taylor recently presented research at the Joint Mathematics Meetings in Washington, DC, one of the largest international conferences for mathematicians. Morgan’s work was completed collaboratively with fellow students through the Coloring Research Group of South Alabama which is a research group focused on solving research problems in graph coloring.

At JMM, Morgan presented a research poster that received positive feedback from attendees. Reviewers praised the clarity of her explanations, her enthusiasm and strong understanding of the material, and the professional quality of both her poster design and oral presentation.  Morgan’s participation in JMM reflects the Mathematics and Statistics department’s commitment to providing meaningful, collaborative research experiences for students from a variety of academic backgrounds and to supporting undergraduate engagement with the broader mathematical community.
