Placement Exam Schedule

The placement test is a computer-based test. The test will be proctored and a Texas Instruments TI30XII-S calculator is allowed. No computers, tablets, cell-phones, or outside resources will be allowed. 

Due to Coronavirus pandemic, all on-campus math placement exams have been cancelled until further notice. Students interested in taking the math placement exam online using ProctorU should email mathplacement@southalabama.edu. Please include your name, your Student (Jag) number, and your university email address. Note: Additional fees will apply. 

Unless stated otherwise, the placement exam will be given in room 245 of the Mathematical Sciences and Physics Building (MSPB). Students must bring a valid photo ID to the placement exam. The schedule is as follows:

Instructions: 
To register for the Math Placement Exam, go to the following web address:

https://jagaspx2.southalabama.edu/semself/logon.aspx?tg=5

Use your Student Number (Jag number) and your university email password to login and select your desired date/time.

Students must complete the placement test within one uninterrupted attempt. Logging off and logging back on to complete the test is not allowed. Students will need their JAG number and their JagMail email address (provided by the USA Office of Admissions) to take the test. The result of a test will be emailed to the student's JagMail email address. The mathematics placement test score will not be included on any transcript. Student should keep a copy of his/her Mathematics Placement Test results to take to his/her academic advisor.
