Homecoming 2019: The Final Countdown!

Save the date for Homecoming 2019! Homecoming at South Alabama is the university's annual tradition that brings together our community of student, faculty, staff, alumni and fans to celebrate Jaguar pride and spirit. The experience features a lineup of events that will unite the Jaguar community to participate in exciting activities! The Homecoming festivities will commence Saturday at Ladd-Peebles Stadium when our football team battles against Appalachian State University!

Homecoming Parade 

Our Homecoming tradition. We want you to participate in this year's Homecoming Parade. The parade will take place on November 9th at 6pm. It begins at the Administration Building Parking Lot and will end at Mitchell Center Drive. The use of Christmas lights, items that glow, or anything florescent is HIGHLY encouraged since the parade route will be dark.  Click here to sign up.

Office Decorating Contest

Get into the Homecoming spirit by participating in the Homecoming Office Decorating Contest. This contest is open to any USA department or Organization. All Offices must be completed by Monday, November 5.  Click here to enter the contest.



November 3


Location: Student Center Terrace
Time: 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm

This year, we will be partnering with Extra Life, an organization uniting gamers around the world to play games to support their local Children’s Miracle Network. For us, this will be a philanthropic event in which all proceeds will go to USA Children’s and Women’s Hospital. This event will consist of six hours of nonstop gaming, in which games will be provided, but students are also encouraged to bring their own games as well. Food and t-shirts will be provided while supplies last. Visit extra-life.org for more information.

Field Day

Junk the Jungle 

Location: USA Traffic Circle

To open Homecoming Week, we are starting with everyone’s traditional program, Junk the Jungle! Junk the Jungle will take place in the traffic circle and students are encourage to toss tissue in “the jungle.”

Battle of the DJ’s is an event that gives DJ’s in the Alabama area and a opportunity to show their skills off in front the students at USA. The winning DJ will receive a cash prize of $350, the title of “Hottest DJ in the South, and they will be invited back to DJ Collegiate 100’s  annual party Jammie Jam.
