Members of the DayZero student organization participated in a virtual qualifier for the Southeast Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (SECCDC) on February 11th and ranked in the top 8 teams which competed.  They earned a spot in the regional competition held onsite at Kennesaw State University on March 8-9.  Over 30 universities from Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, and North Carolina competed in the qualifier, which pitted student teams managing a fictional corporate network and systems against red-team attackers. Winning the regional would earn the DayZero team a spot at the National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition held in San Antonio, TX. For more information about SECCDC, you can visit https://www.seccdc.org/.  Special thanks go to Mr. Roger Cruz, who served as a local white team judge for the qualifier.
