BMD Students Recognized at Alabama Academy of Science Annual Meeting

The Alabama Academy of Science held its 100th annual meeting earlier this month in Birmingham, Alabama. Students from institutions around the state of Alabama are invited to present their research in competition categories including poster presentation, oral paper presentation and research paper.

Three biomedical sciences students from the Pat Capps Covey College of Allied Health Professions were awarded second place for their research presentations in each category.

The Alabama Academy of Science is the host of the only general science meetings in the state of Alabama. The annual meetings bring together scientists, teachers and students from all fields.
