Biography
Dr. Shuai Zhou is an Assistant Professor of Sociology in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work at University of South Alabama. He received his Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Zhou’s research focuses on population-environment dynamics to promote human well-being and sustainable development in the context of global environmental changes and social transformations. Dr. Zhou approaches his research agenda through innovative demographic, computational, and geospatial techniques. Specifically, Dr. Zhou’s research areas include environmental migration and health, spatial demography, agri-food sustainability, and quantitative methods.
