The University of South Alabama has been ranked #12 in the Best Accredited Colleges list of Best EMT Certification Programs. According to BestAccreditedColleges.org, the national rankings are created with student education in mind, ranking institutions based on data around financial aid awards, the quality of education, faculty, campus resources and more.

South’s Emergency Medical Technician Certificate Program prepares students for careers in pre-hospital emergency medicine and enables graduates of the program to work as emergency medical technicians in a variety of settings. “All of the faculty and staff members work very hard to educate our students to treat any patient, medical and/or trauma, on their first day of working in the field. The ranking was a surprise, but not unexpected. We strive to be the best program in the world,” said Joel Ellzie, paramedic instructor and EMS program director.
