On-going research

Samuel Moore, a current PHD graduate assistant, recently attended the 20th International Symposium on Research in Attacks, Intrusions and Defenses otherwise known as RAID. At RAID, Samuel presented on-going research in power consumption based intrusion detection methods on Additive Manufacturing (aka 3D Printing). This research aims to use power consumption measurements to develop methods in both anomaly detection and digital forensics to protect the integrity of 3D printed parts that are increasing being used in the manufacturing industry in safety critical systems. This research is a collaborative effort along with South Alabama's own Dr. Mark Yampolskiy and graduate assistant Jacob Gatlin. This research project also include collaborators from Ben-Gurion University and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
