▼   Registration Deadlines and Fees

All 2021 camps and our waitlist are full. Registration for next year's camps will begin in March 2022. If you'd like to receive information for 2022 camps, please email srcsummercamps@southalabama.edu.

Registration for each camp session closes the prior Thursday at 11:59 PM. Please see the below chart for specific dates.

We do not allow registrations the Friday, Saturday, or Sunday prior to a camp session so we can adequately prepare to keep your children safe and our counselors informed.

If you missed regular registration, and there is still space available in your child’s age group, you can register late in-person the Monday of each camp session at 7:45-8:30 AM at the front desk of the Student Recreation Center. There is a late fee of $25/child and only credit or debit cards are accepted. No cash or checks. Please allow 30 minutes to complete late, in-person registration.

▼   How to register and pay

Registration is through our Campus Recreation Portal under "Summer Camps, Summer 2021". Be sure to read the portal instructions thoroughly before trying to register.

In 2021, you will register your child for his/her specific age group: rising 1st-3rd graders and rising 4th-6th graders. This is a change from our previous camp years.

Payment is due in full at the time of registration.

Your receipt will be automatically emailed to you and should be kept for 2021 tax purposes. The university’s tax ID number is 63-0477348.

If you have trouble using our portal, we will be happy to meet you at the front desk of the Student Recreation Center to help you register and pay. Please email srcsummercamps@southalabama.edu to set up an appointment.

▼   Cancellations and Refund Policy

The last day to cancel each week's registration with a full refund is one week in advance (the Monday prior to each camp session.) Email srcsummercamps@southalabama.edu to request a cancellation and refund. Please see your session receipt for the specific cancellation date. No refunds will be given after that date.

Illness, injury, or extraneous circumstances with documentation from a third-party provider may be submitted for consideration of a refund; each request will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may or may not be granted. (See COVID-19 exceptions policy below.)

Within one week of your camp session, you may reschedule to another 2021 week based on space availability in your child’s age group. Camp fees cannot be transferred to another Campus Recreation program such as swim lessons or birthday parties. Once a camp session begins, there are no refunds or rescheduling.

There is no pro-rated cost if your child cannot attend the entire week.

COVID-19 refund policy: If you find out in advance of your child's camp session that your child must quarantine due to COVID-19, you will receive a full refund pending documentation from a third-party provider. If you find out that your child must quarantine due to COVID-19 during a camp week for which s/he is registered that has already started, you will receive a pro-rated credit that may be used toward our 2022 camps.

▼   COVID-19 protocols

We have implemented the following steps to help prevent the spread of COVID-19:

  • All campers, counselors and parents must follow current campus COVID operating guidelines.
  • Campers will be divided into groups of 10-12. Groups will be kept separate for the majority of the camp day.
▼   Health Information

During the online registration process, please note any medical conditions or allergies that your child has, including food allergies. Note if the child has an epi-pen, inhaler, or other medication that must be kept with her/him at all times.

Every child must have a complete, updated health packet and waiver for 2021. We only need one packet per child regardless of how many weeks s/he is attending. This must be completed for the Student Recreation Center camps, even if you have completed it for another USA camp.
