▼   Deadlines and Fees

Registration for each camp session closes the prior Thursday at 11:59 PM. We do not allow registrations the Friday, Saturday, or Sunday prior to a camp session so we can adequately prepare to keep your children safe and our counselors informed.

If you missed a session registration deadline, and there is still space available in your child’s age group, you can register late in-person the Monday of each camp session at 7:45-8:30am at the front desk of the Student Recreation Center. There is a late fee of $25/child and only credit or debit cards are accepted. No cash or checks. Please allow 30 minutes to complete late, in-person registration.

▼   Payment and Tax Information

Registration is through our Campus Recreation Portal under "Summer Camps, Summer 2022". Be sure to read the portal instructions thoroughly before trying to register.

Choose any available spot for your child(ren). Campers will be divided into age groups the week of camp.

Payment is due in full at the time of registration.

If the session you desire is full, please join the waiting list.

Your receipt will be automatically emailed to you and should be kept for 2022 tax purposes. The university’s tax ID number is 63-0477348.

If you have trouble using our portal, we will be happy to meet you at the front desk of the Student Recreation Center to help you register and pay. Please email srcsummercamps@southalabama.edu to set up an appointment. Per university policy, we are unable to take credit card payments over the phone.

▼   Cancellations and Refund Policy

The last day to cancel each week's registration with a full refund is one week in advance (the Monday prior to each camp session.) Email srcsummercamps@southalabama.edu to request a cancellation and refund. Please see your session receipt for the specific cancellation date. No refunds will be given after that date.

Illness, injury, or extraneous circumstances with documentation from a third-party provider may be submitted for consideration of a refund; each request will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may or may not be granted. (See COVID-19 exceptions policy below.)

Within one week of your camp session, you may reschedule to another 2022 week based on space availability. Camp fees cannot be transferred to another Campus Recreation program such as swim lessons or birthday parties. Once a camp session begins, there are no refunds or rescheduling.

There is no pro-rated cost if your child cannot attend the entire week.

COVID-19 refund policy: If you find out in advance of your child's camp session that your child must quarantine due to COVID-19, you will receive a full refund pending documentation from a third-party provider. If you find out that your child must quarantine due to COVID-19 during a camp week for which s/he is registered that has already started, you will receive a pro-rated credit that may be used toward our 2023 camps.

▼   Health Information

During the online registration process, please note any medical conditions or allergies that your child has, including food allergies. Note if the child has an EpiPen, inhaler, or other medication that must be kept with her/him at all times.

Every child must have a complete, updated health packet and waiver for 2022. We only need one packet per child regardless of how many weeks s/he is attending. This must be completed for the Department of Campus Recreation camps, even if you have completed it for another USA camp.

Camps will follow any university COVID-19 protocols that are in place at the time of camp.
