Canceling the High School Public Speaking Contest

The University of South Alabama has canceled all on-campus classes and moved them to an online format. We have been instructed to cancel all special events and gatherings to maximize social distancing in response to COVID-19. Unfortunately, this means we are canceling the High School Public Speaking Contest. If you are not a senior, we encourage you to save your speech for next year’s contest. We will most likely use the same theme. This decision has been made with your health in mind. We hope to see you participate in the 2021 contest.
