A Special Festival Honoring the Achievements of tuba legends R. Winston Morris, Daniel Perantoni, and Jim Self
Join tubists from across the country and around the world as we honor three luminary tuba performers, pedagogues, and people in a special one-time celebration held at the University of South Alabama from May 21st to May 24th. Former students, colleagues, and friends will to celebrate the "Three Amigos" - R. Winston Morris, Daniel Perantoni, and Jim Self.
Registration is now open for the Three Amigos Celebration. The deadline to register is May 1, 2026.
Experience three unforgettable recitals honoring each of the "Three Amigos" performed by their former students. In addition, Celebration attendees can participate in the mass tuba-euphonium ensemble and celebrate on Saturday evening with a banquet on the campus of the University of South Alabama featuring some unforgettable jazz. The Celebration will be a time to share our love and admiration for these three giants of the tuba-euphonium community that have influenced thousands of students over the past half century.
