We are accepting applications for a graduate assistant of fitness and camps for the 2020-2021 academic year. This student will assist with both the SouthFit and Summer Camp programs. Hours per week: 20
Pay rate: Tuition waiver plus $3,333 per semester. The assistantship is available year-round, pending work and school performance, during fall, spring, and summer semesters for a maximum stipend of $10,000/year.

We accept applications year-round for certified group fitness instructors. Our classes include step aerobics, bootcamp, INSANITY® Live, TRX®, Zumba®, water aerobics, yoga, Spinning®, body sculpt (resistance training), and more.
Start Date: Ongoing; instructors can be hired mid-semester.
Hours per week: 2-20
Certifications Required: Must have current CPR/AED certification and at least one group fitness certification. Accepted certifications and trainings include AFAA Primary Group Exercise Instructor, ACE Group Exercise Instructor, NETA (any group or specialty certification), Mad Dogg Spinning® Instructor, YogaFit Level 1, Zumba® Instructor, and more.
Pay rate: $12.00-$17.00 per class, based on experience and qualifications.
Start Date: Ongoing; trainers can be hired mid-semester.
Hours per week: 2-20
Certifications Required: Must have current CPR/AED certification and at least one accredited personal trainer certification from an organization such as ACE, AFAA, NASM, NETA, ACSM, or NSCA. Other accredited fitness certifications will be considered. Applicants with a B.S. degree in kinesiology or exercise science with experience training clients will also be considered.
Pay rate: $12.00-$17.00 per session, based on experience and qualifications.

G.F.I.T. (Group Fitness Instructor Training) is hosted every Fall semester.
P.F.I.T. (Personal Fitness Instructor Training) is hosted every Spring semester. The Spring 2020 course will meet Tuesdays & Thursdays, 3:30-4:30 PM, January 23-April 16 in the Student Recreation Center classroom.
Cost for G.F.I.T. or P.F.I.T. is $25/students, $50/USA employees, and $75 general public. Register and pay via the Campus Recreation Portal.
