Dr. Bradley Goettl ’14 has been named chief nursing officer of the American Nurses Enterprise, where he will help to advance professional practice standards for more than 5 million nurses. For a nurse who began his career serving patients in small, rural areas, it has been quite a journey.
The American Nursing Enterprise, a family of companies that includes the American Nurses Association, the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Nurses Foundation, leverages the strength of each organization to ensure that policy leaders, industry influencers and employers recognize the voices of nurses across the U.S.
“I am deeply honored to be chosen for this role, and I’m grateful for the opportunity
to serve the nursing community,” Goettl said. “I look forward to working alongside
my colleagues to ensure that nurses across the nation have the support, resources
and recognition they deserve to continue delivering exceptional care.”
At USA’s College of Nursing, Goettl earned a Master of Science in nursing science and a Doctor of Nursing Practice in advanced emergency and cardiovascular nursing.
Goettl, whose career spans over 20 years, began working in rural medicine and gradually transitioned into leadership roles, where he mentored nurses, developed international training programs and secured millions of dollars in grants to expand healthcare access. Since January, he has served as nurse executive in residence at the Georgetown University School of Nursing.
