American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics

The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) hosted the 26th Annual Design/Build/Fly Competition in Wichita, Kansas this past April. A group of undergraduate AIAA members, all from the College of Engineering Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Biomedical Engineering, took part in the competition with their entry ranking 23 out of the 69 teams. The members participating in the project were (starting from left to right in the picture below), John Hamilton (alumnus), Gavin Brown, Bryson Hatcher, Hayden Jenkins, Evan Moulds, Will Sergeant, and Madison Bomeke (not pictured). John Hamilton served as an advisor and Dr. Carlos Montalvo as faculty advisor.
