Friends of Music and Theatre at Laidlaw: Greetings!

As I've mentioned in previous messages, things are continually changing for us here at USA, as we're sure it is with you as well. In this phase of the health emergency, our university faculty and staff are preparing their remote teaching strategies.  It's relatively new for many of us, and we thank you for your patience and support.

The Music and Theatre Departments, in planning for several student and campus contingencies, have concluded that we must cancel ALL of our concerts for the Spring Semester.  This has recently been backed up by a message from Dr. Tony Waldrop, the university president, closing the school through the rest of the term (May 10). The reasons for doing so are abundant and obvious, all having to do with the safety of our students, staff, faculty, and the community in general.

In short, please note that ALL Laidlaw events, other than late-semester student recitals, are CANCELED, March 17 - May 10. Note as well that the university campus is officially closed to the public and students.

Again, we thank you for your support, patience and understanding during these trying times. If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a line and I'll get to you as soon as I can. (I'm working remotely off-campus!)

Take care and be healthy!

Oh, and additionally, please check and for updates.
