Teaching Philosophy
I believe strongly that education is a solution to many of our world's problems. I am an advocate for students and student learning. Embracing the concept of life-long learning, I enjoy learning with my students.
My research interests include gender and leadership, online teaching and learning, and higher education administration.
I serve as a board member for the Research on Women and Education special interest group of the American Educational Research Association and am an editorial review board member for the Journal for the Study of Postsecondary and Tertiary Education.

Locally I have served as a volunteer for the Mobile County Public School System, Feeding the Gulf Coast, and the MLK Day of Service.
Dr. Delmas has over 15 years’ experience in higher education working in areas such as academic advising, registrar’s office, student recruitment and retention, alumni affairs, and instruction. She enjoys teaching and advising students who are interested in beginning or continuing careers in higher education. Her goal is to help shape college and university leaders who are committed to improving the lives of students.
