I believe strongly that education is a solution to many of our world's problems. I
am an advocate for students and student learning. Embracing the concept of life-long
learning, I enjoy learning with my students.
My research interests include gender and leadership, online teaching and learning,
and higher education administration.
I serve as a board member for the Research on Women and Education special interest
group of the American Educational Research Association and am an editorial review
board member for the Journal for the Study of Postsecondary and Tertiary Education.
Locally I have served as a volunteer for the Mobile County Public School System, Feeding
the Gulf Coast, and the MLK Day of Service.
