Thirty graduating seniors at the University of South Alabama were recently celebrated during an induction ceremony as new members of the 2026 class of the Jaguar Senior Medallion Society. The recognition event was held in the Student Center Ballroom.
This annual event brings students, faculty, staff, alumni and families together to honor the award recipients. The graduating seniors were nominated and voted on by a University committee.
The students were celebrated for outstanding academic and leadership achievements, community service, engagement and for displaying Jaguar pride.
“As outstanding student leaders, you have achieved accomplishments that are second to none,” said Dr. Andi Kent, USA executive vice president and provost. “As you go forward, I hope you continue to leave your pawprint and know that South Alabama will always be your home away from home. This is only the beginning for you, and we will always roll out the red, white and blue carpet for each of you. Go Jags.”
One senior was recognised for working to change perceptions of disability and accessibility; two more were honored for their excellence in belonging/success; one honoree persevered to overcome obstacles and achieve academic success; and one received the undergraduate research award.
