The College of Education and Professional Studies at the University of South Alabama recognized outstanding undergraduate and graduate students during its 49th Annual Student Honors and Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 in the Student Center Ballroom.

The college honored 32 students for their academic achievement, leadership and dedication across programs. The evening also included the presentation of the 2026–2027 EPIC Ambassadors officers and the awarding of one-year pins to returning ambassadors. Family and friends joined in celebrating this special recognition.

“Tonight we celebrate more than achievement. We celebrate the drive, resilience and purpose that define our students,” said Dr. Angela T. Barlow, dean of the College of Education and Professional Studies. “They are preparing to lead in classrooms, organizations and communities across the Gulf Coast and beyond. We are proud of who they are and the impact they are ready to make.”

Students recognized represent programs across the College of Education and Professional Studies’ four departments: Leadership and Teacher Education, Counseling and Instructional Sciences, Health, Kinesiology and Sport, and Integrative Studies. Award recipients represent the future of their professions and communities. Congratulations to all honorees.
