Whiddon College of Medicine Business Office staff participate in cooking classThe Whiddon College of Medicine Business Office staff recently participated in a cooking class as a team-building exercise through the Integrative Health & Wellness Program at USA Health.

This unique experience combined the principles of culinary medicine with evidence-based nutrition, reinforcing the idea that food can play a powerful role in overall health and well-being. It also gave the team the opportunity to step away from daily responsibilities and connect in a more meaningful, collaborative setting.

"Shared experiences help strengthen relationships, improve communication, and build trust, key elements that positively influence workplace morale and culture," said Maya Mirzoeva, associate dean of finance and administration at the Whiddon College of Medicine. "When employees feel connected and supported, it fosters greater engagement, collaboration, and a stronger sense of purpose across the organization."

Mirzoeva added, "We are grateful for programs like Integrative Health & Wellness that not only promote healthier lifestyles but also support stronger, more connected teams."
