Education: B.S., University of Alabama
What do you enjoy most about being a student at the Whiddon College of Medicine?
I really enjoy the community that South Alabama has created, especially in the classroom
translating to the hospital. I have met so many of my current professors before third
year, and it has allowed me to be more active in my clinical learning experiences.
Furthermore, I have enjoyed the commitment that everyone makes to getting better both
clinically and interpersonally every day. Truly a different culture.
Are you involved in any research, organizations or other initiatives at the Whiddon
College of Medicine?
I'm involved in class leadership as vice president, Student Assembly as treasurer,
Christian Medical Ministry of South Alabama (CMMSA), Orthopaedic Surgery Interest
Group, PALs (Peer Academic Leaders), and Buddy Ball; research in spine, surgery, price,
transparency, the Match, femur fracture repair, rotator cuff injury repair, and baseball
analytic research.
What are your interests and hobbies?
I am an avid outdoorsman: enjoying things like fishing, duck hunting, and mountain
biking. I also enjoy playing music, especially for CMMSA events. Lastly, I enjoy spending
time with my classmates outside of the hospital!
