Blown glass lilypads and lotus flowersThe Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine invites you to leave a lasting legacy by helping bring a breathtaking work of art to life in its new medical education and research facility.

"Nymphaea" is a monumental glass installation by artist Matthew Patterson, created exclusively for the Maisel Family Forum. Measuring 18 feet by 25 feet, the site-specific artwork draws inspiration from the waterways, aquatic ecology and rich biodiversity of Mobile Bay.

A flowing composition of blown-glass lily pads and hand-sculpted lotus flowers will cascade across a textured, wave-like wall, transforming the space into a calming sanctuary of light, reflection and natural beauty for future medical professionals, scientists and visitors.

Your tax-deductible gift will directly support the creation and installation of this landmark biophilic artwork. Every donor will be permanently recognized on a plaque displayed adjacent to the installation.

A limited number of sponsorship opportunities remain, and more than 60 pieces have already been claimed. Visit connect.southalabama.edu/e/nymphaea-art-project to select your piece and become part of this enduring legacy.
