Tyronda Rogers, administrator for the general surgery residency and surgical critical care fellowship programs at USA Health/University of South Alabama, has been named president-elect of the Association of Residency Administrators in Surgery (ARAS).

She will take the helm as president in April 2027 from ARAS President Dana Cooley, who serves as administrator for the General Surgery Residency program at Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University.

Rogers, who joined USA Health in April 2017, previously served as program chair for the ARAS Executive Committee.

ARAS is a national organization that serves as an educational resource, support network and communication platform for coordinators and managers who oversee surgical residency and fellowship programs.
