Congratulations to the University of South Alabama School of Computing students listed below for receiving scholarships from the Gulf Coast Technology Community!

- Derek Knight
- Miller Wongsa
- Zachary Stevens
In 2007, The Gulf Coast Technology Community started a scholarship fund to grow a talent pool and reward local students pursuing technology careers.
The scholarship requirements, as listed from their website, are:
- Full-time enrollment/full class schedule
- At least a junior in 4-year college or Beginning 2nd-year student at 2-year college
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 out of 4.0
- College is in Mobile or Baldwin County Alabama
- Major in technology-related field
