Programming and Computing Knowledge (PACK) Camps
Posted on July 7, 2023 by Keith Lynn

This summer, the School of Computing and the Center for Forensics, Information Technology, and Security (CFITS) has been busy hosting Programming and Computing Knowledge (PACK) camps. So far, we have had 25 middle and high school students take part in two of the camps that introduce computing topics such as programming languages, coding, and robotics.

In the PACK camps, SoC instructor Mr. Keith Lynn helps students create basic games, music-based apps, and learn visual programming in Python, Alice, and Scratch while also learning how interactive web pages are coded in JavaScript. The camps for 10-12th and 7th-9th graders were held in June with the last camp for 4th-6th graders scheduled for next week.
