Assignment Changes

Room Swap periods are offered prior to move in. Assigned students can change themselves to a different building, room, or roommate within MyUSAHousing.
A Room Change Request period is offered at the beginning of each semester for residents who wish to request to change buildings, rooms, or roommates. Requests are submitted in MyUSAHousing and are processed based upon the date/time submitted and availability.

Room Swap (Prior to Move In) Period for Academic Year 2023-2024:

  • First-Year Student Room Swap:  May 2nd – May 12th
  • General Room Swap (OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS):  June 12th – June 21st

Students may swap room assignment and see/select from all available buildings except Fraternity/Sorority buildings.


Room Change Requests

Spring 2023 Room Change Requests: To Be Determined

Room change requests are submitted through MyUSAHousing.

MAXIMUM OF 2 ROOM TYPE REQUESTS ALLOWED; each request must be submitted one at a time beginning with the Room Type you want the MOST. Detailed instructions will be emailed to all first-year students after moving in.

Requests are processed based on the date/time the room change request was submitted and room availability. Space is extremely limited. Residents will receive notice via JagMail on the status of their requests.
