Ladino to present keynote at Experiencing War Memorials Conference

The Center is partnering with the University of Alabama to present a two-day conference titled, "Experiencing War Memorials: Feeling, Place, and Public Memory." The conference will be held on February 23 and 24 at the Bryant Conference Center on the University of Alabama Campus in Tuscaloosa. Over 40 speakers, including scholars from many disciplines, museum and memorial site directors, and public historians, will present their research. Jennifer Ladino, Professor of English at the University of Idaho will deliver the keynote address on Friday, February 24. She is the author of Memorials Matter: Affect and Environment at American Memory Sites, University of Nevada Press, 2019 and the co-editor of Affective Ecocriticism: Emotion, Embodiment, Environment, University of Nebraska Press, 2018.
