USA Housing has upgraded/added additional card access scanners for the residence halls. ALL STUDENTS MUST must visit the Jag Card Office to receive a new JagID that will work with the upgraded card scanners.

If you bring your current JagID with you, you will get the new one for FREE!

▼   John Counts Drive converted to one way during Move-In 2023

John Counts Drive will be closed and converted to a one-way from 7AM – 5:30PM starting at Campus Entrance #1 (Old Shell Rd) and ending at the Jaguar Training Center.

  • No westbound traffic past Hancock Whitney Stadium going toward Entrance #1 will be permitted.
  • Only traffic from students checking in to receive their room key will be permitted to enter campus at Entrance #1.
  • If you need to exit or enter campus during these times, please avoid Entrance #1 and utilize a different campus entrance.

IMPORTANT: All residents will need to arrive to and enter campus using ONLY the 'Entrance 1' University entrance (located at the intersection of John Counts Dr. and Old Shell Road) to be on the correct route to the check-in location
Other University entrances WILL NOT be used for Move-In 2023.


As you arrive to campus for Move-In 2023 you can expect to encounter USA Police Department upon your arrival. This is to help direct and control the flow of cars to the individual residential communities and residence halls.

Don't forget! A Student/Photo ID will be required at Check-In. Make sure to get your updated JagID BEFORE arriving to campus.
