South CARES 

We know this is a stressful time and we want to help. South CARES is USA's Collaborative Access, Resources, and Emergency Support program. The online portal allows you to connect with us by submitting a request for contact. Give us a little information about your immediate need and we will contact you to walk through solutions.  Virtual meetings are currently being scheduled, throughout the week, with our student advocates.

Tutoring/Writing Center Support

Our tutoring staff is online and ready to work with you! The Center for Academic Excellence is now providing online tutoring and asynchronous paper writing support through the ThinkingStorm platform. For information about how to access this service please visit their website here.

Advising

Advising in AATS and professional offices is being done via Zoom, Google hangout, or email. Most appointment scheduling is done online already- using EAB's technology NavigateAlso if you would like to connect with an Advisor, our teams hosting advising sessions through Zoom. You can use the Ask an Advisor tool here or visit their website for up to date information: Academic Advising and Transfer Services.


Career Development

Even though the campus is closed, the Career Development team is continuing to provide student support in a virtual environment.  Students can schedule online Zoom appointments or phone calls, as well as schedule drop-in career advising sessions. They've also updated their digital resources and are providing a bi-weekly e-newsletter with career-related information from employee partners. 


Student Health Center

Student Health strongly encourages all students to make an appointment before visiting. As of now the Student Health Center remains open. For up to date information please visit the Student Health website or call (251) 460-7151.


Counseling and Testing

USA's Counseling services will continue to support the needs of our students. Beginning Monday, March 16, the Counseling and Testing Center will begin providing all services through phone and virtual platforms. For information about scheduling an appointment or for more information about mental health resources, please visit the USA Counseling and Testing website. This website will continue to be updated during the physical closure.


Dining

Regular service hours are suspended until face to face classes resume. However, the Fresh Food Company will remain open for students who are approved to remain in on-campus housing and for student commuters who have meal plans. Service hours and meal selection may be limited to effectively serve all students and all meals will be to-go. Please visit the Dining website (USA Dining) for hours and updated information.

JagPantry

The JagPantry remains accessible to students by appointment. Located in the Academic Services Building in the USA Office of Veterans Affairs, the JagPantry can be accessed by contacting the University Police Department at (251) 460-6312.  


University Libraries

The USA Libraries are here to help! Even though our buildings are closed, we are still offering many services electronically. Online resources, research consultations and USA Libraries Chat are all still available to assist you in your online transition.
