The axioms for various geometries are discussed. The course is designed for graduate students in the College of Education and Professional Studies.
Prerequisites:  C or better in MA 321 or permission of the instructor

Suggested Text:  Venema, Gerard. Foundations of Geometry (2nd Edition), Pearson, 2011

Learning outcomes: Upon the successful completion of the course a student will:

understand the fundamental concepts of axiomatic geometry
understand definitions and axioms
prove theorems from the axioms
gain experience in solving problems and communicating mathematical ideas effectively.
