"What's Trending?"

Our first Fall 2017 "What's Trending?" discussion occurred on September 27th 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. in Room 3901. Dr. Ryon McDermott provided a brief overview of the problem of college sexual assault, its impacts, and the federal laws that are designed to address the problem. Dr. McDermott covered recent political and legal attempts to make it more difficult to prevent sexual assault.

"What's Trending?" is a monthly lunch time discussion on current events. All faculty, staff and students of the CEPS are invited. These discussions are organized by the CEPS Diversity Council for faculty, staff and students with these common objectives in mind:

  • To increase collective multicultural competence
  • To provide a safe environment for to discuss the cultural aspects of current events
