All undergraduate students in the Mitchell College of Business will complete a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
Accounting**
A major in accounting will develop a student’s skills to record, classify and analyze financial information for organizations or individuals. Students will be prepared for careers in public, corporate, government and industrial accounting.
Economics and Finance
The economics and finance major is designed to develop the analytical techniques, critical thinking competency, and decision-making skills required for managing scarce resources in business and government. Students will be prepared for careers in banking, corporate finance, financial planning, investment management, risk management and insurance and public service. Concentrations are available in economics and finance.

Entrepreneurship
This degree program provides students with the business knowledge necessary to launch, develop and grow business ideas. They can then pursue careers as business owners, consultants and development managers.
General Business**
The General Business major provides a comprehensive understanding of business principles across multiple disciplines. It offers students the flexibility to tailor their studies to diverse career interests or combine business studies with another field.
International Business
This major focuses on business operations in a global context, emphasizing international markets, trade and cross-cultural management. Graduates are prepared for careers in multinational corporations, government agencies, and foreign countries.
Management
The management major helps students develop leadership and decision-making skills to manage organizations effectively. Concentrations are available in general management and human resource management.

Marketing**

Real Estate
The real estate program is designed to educate students about the myriad aspects of the real estate industry and to provide a solid foundation for taking advantage of numerous career opportunities available in real estate and related industries, including but not limited to residential, commercial, or industrial development, brokerage, leasing and property management.
Supply Chain and Logistics Management
This major teaches students how to manage the flow of goods, services and information across global supply chains. Graduates gain expertise in procurement, operations efficiency, logistics and distribution management.

All minors require 18 hours of coursework.
Students from colleges outside the Mitchell College of Business may elect, with the approval of their department chair, a minor in the Mitchell College of Business. A 2.0 GPA is required for the courses applied toward the minor. Students must complete at least 50 percent of the courses counted toward the minor at the University of South Alabama. Courses used for a first business minor may not be used for a second business minor.
