A Knowledge-Based Approach to Entry-Level Positions
The Mitchell College of Business Retail Certificate Program will enhance the retail management skill sets and readiness of college students for entry-level positions, through: Retail concept analysis and review, case studies, internships and coaching/mentoring.

Interested in a career in data analytics? Attend the 2023 SABRE Analytics Summit to
learn about analytics in various industries and network with data professionals. Join
us as your schedule allows.
Conference 8:00 am-3:00 pm. Hear speakers present how data analytics is used in industries such as HR, marketing,
or finance; learn about potential career paths; and network with industry experts.
This is a paid event; students can get in for free by filling out a brief scholarship
application on the conference website.
The Hot Cocoa Happy Hour 3:00-3:45 pm. Network with conference attendees and speakers, learn about career opportunities
and internship opportunities in data analytics, and what skills may be sought-after
in data analytics jobs while sipping on hot cocoa. Admission to the happy hour is
free.
Inaugural Tableau User Group (TUG) Meeting 4:00-6:00 pm. Attention all Tableau Users or Tableau Wannabe-Users. TUG meetings are inclusive meetup
events for Tableau enthusiasts to connect, learn, and discuss all things data. Find
inspiration from peers across industries, roles, affiliations, and other areas of
interest while advancing your analytics skills. The admission to the TUG meeting is
free; pizza and drinks will be served. These meetings will be hosted regularly at
least once a semester.
Note to Faculty: Continuing education credits will be available for accounting professionals (6.5 CPE
hours' credit approved), HR professionals (HRCI and SHRM pending approval), real estate
professionals (6.0 CE credits approved) and legal professionals (5.0 of CLE hours'
credit approved, including 1.0 hours of ethics).
